The Moroccan edition of the NO LOGO project mobilizes the energies of cultural players in the cities of Chefchaouen, Tiznit and Casablanca: experimental workshops and artistic residencies from February 14 to March 04, and a tour from March 04 to 19, 2022.
For this Moroccan stopover, in addition to its Parisian partner, the La Bulle collective, NO LOGO is working with a number of local partners to organize this edition: the independent podcast production studio « Les Bonnes Ondes » as main partner, the association L’Blend for the coordination of the Tiznit stage, but also the École des Beaux arts Casablanca, Le Boultek, center de musiques actuelles, Le Centre culturel Les étoiles de Sidi Moumen, Le Théâtre de l’Opprimé Casablanca, as well as a number of guest artists: Jubantouja, Noussayba Lahlou, Betweenatna, Abdellah Hassak (aka Guedra Guedra), Baba Ben, the Kounaktif collective, Normal, ReqTeq, Ed Oner…
In collaboration with our Moroccan partners, this first edition of the project was built in three phases:
Meeting and scouting phase
Mediation work in target cities. Mapping and involving local players in the actions proposed by the project.
Skills transfer and artistic residency phase
A period of experimental workshops, focused on digital creation tools, in partnership with educational establishments and involving local artists and independent players.
Production of creative residencies, bringing together No Logo artists and invited national artists.
Final phase, Tourné No Logo
Crossing disciplines and aesthetics, the No Logo tour crosses the partner cities, deploying inside La Bulle, a nomadic inflatable structure built with the cities’ students and set up in the public space.
The presence of No Logo provides a festive focal point, while offering local residents a space open to dialogue, learning and artistic dissemination. Introductory workshops, Cartes Blanches with local artists and players, concerts by guest artists and performances based on the results of experimental workshops.
No Logo is implemented with the support of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture – AFAC, thanks to a grant from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC.
With the support of the French Institute in Paris and the City of Paris.
