E-FEST IN RESISTANCE
After a conspicuous absence during the summer season, when the summer edition could not take place due to lack of funding, the FEST team worked to maintain the winter edition and thus avoid a blank year for the festival.
Fans of electronic and independent cultures, FEST is back.
For its winter activities, the festival returns to Carthage Cathedral ‘Acropolium’ with a rich and diverse musical program, and introductory workshops in digital creation at the Charles-de-Gaulle media library in Tunis.
Since its creation in 2007, the Echos Electrik association has developed a vast cultural and social project in Tunisia, dedicated to digital cultures in all their diversity.
The mission of the E-FEST project is to anchor and strengthen emerging artistic practices in relation to new technologies, with a particular focus on making the singularity of the artistic languages offered by the digital arts an experience in Tunisia, giving every spectator the chance to experience the diverse, the unknown, a face-to-face encounter with the other. November’s program of activities bears witness to this need to pass on to the public our passion and our constant desire to innovate.
In keeping with this spirit of discovery and modernization of the local cultural landscape, the eighth edition of the FEST festival will, as usual, strive to offer demanding artistic performances, and for the more curious, an opportunity to learn through the scheduled creative workshops.
