    from November 15th to November 18th, 2022

The Fadhloun Mosque in Midoun, built in the 14th century, features the typical architecture of religious buildings on the island of Djerba, designed according to an atypical plan that is unique in Tunisia’s architectural heritage.

Like a painter facing his canvas, we based our creation on successive layers of paint that follow the shapes of the building, giving it a different identity at each stage.
Inspired by historical Lybic, Saharan and Touareg glyphs, mainly geometric shapes and colors, the video Mapping produced was designed to enhance the ancestral culture represented by the Fadhloun mosque, while bringing it into line with a contemporary aesthetic.
The sound part of the projection was based on the production of modified and synthesized local sounds, striving to translate the same poetry as well as the identity anchoring they represent.
