The Kinetik workshop introduces participants to the creation of a scenographic device, using techniques such as videomapping, 3D modeling, audio signal analysis, midi controllers, Art-Net protocol and Arduino interfacing.
This project introduced ISET engineers to an artistic creation process, covering various technologies used in the world of digital art. Participants were coached in the construction and programming of a kinetic installation, made up of light panels in motion, illuminated by video projection. The device produced served as a moving scenography used on the No Logo stage, reactive to the music, and controlled from the control room.
The workshop was divided into two parts. The hardware section covers module manufacture, programming and stepper motor control, via an Arduino board. The Software part, which uses videomapping of moving objects and real-time 3D, with the help of TouchDesigner software.
Produced as a workshop with students from ISET Mahdia.
As part of the NO LOGO project, Tunisia 2022 edition.
