The Kinetik workshop takes participants through the creation of a scenographic device, covering techniques such as videomapping, 3D modeling, audio signal analysis, use of midi controllers, Art-Net protocol, and interfacing with Arduino.
This project familiarized ISET engineers with an artistic creation process, tackling different technologies used in the digital art world. Participants were supervised in the construction and programming of a kinetic installation, made up of light panels in motion, illuminated by video projection. The resulting device was used as a moving scenography on the No Logo stage, reactive to the music and controlled from the control room.
The workshop was divided into two parts. The hardware part dealt with the manufacture of the module, programming and servo-control of stepper motors, via an Arduino board. The Software part, which involved the videomapping of moving objects and real-time 3D, using TouchDesigner software.
Carried out as a workshop with students from ISET Mahdia.
As part of the NO LOGO project, Tunisia 2022 edition.
