To bring this 9th edition, rich in discoveries and eclecticism, to a sweaty close, the Casa will be lit up with big sounds. House and Techno will be in the spotlight on both nights. Programming by Kaïs Dhifi.
PROGRAMME
Dawan (TU)
Dawan (real name Hamza Nasraoui) is a fast-growing, hard-working artist worth keeping an eye on. Despite his amused and sarcastic demeanor, Dawan revels in a deep form of pessimism, which he translates into slowed-down electronic productions with a heavy, dark ambience.
Hamdi Ryder (TU)
Hailing from downtown Tunis (Lafayette to be precise), Hamdi Ryder was cradled in the sounds of hip-hop, soul and funk, and draws from his analog heritage a pronounced taste for Chicago house, jackin’ and, of course, garage.
Lazare Hoche (FR)
Charlie Naffah, better known under his pseudonym Lazare Hoche, is the jewel in the crown of Paris’s up-and-coming electronic scene. Founder of his eponymous label (Lazare Hoche Records) and endowed with a musical culture
musical culture. Lazare Hoche is a hard worker and a fervent ambassador of house music ‘Made in France’. He regularly releases tracks – often vinyl-only – that bewitch dancefloors with disconcerting ease.
Boris Werner (NED)
Affiliated with the Rush Hour label (and the record store of the same name), Boris Werner is at the forefront of a Dutch scene in the throes of a creative resurrection, of which he is probably one of the main contributors. He is everywhere, from Supplement Facts (Guy Gerber’s label) to Voyage Direct (his friend Tom Trago’s), Get Physical, Moon Harbour and Remote Area, to name but a few.
Salem Jabou (TU)
Beyond his skills as a DJ of formidable precision, at ease on all media, Salem Jabou, or simply Salem, is, at the age of 23, a veritable encyclopedia of contemporary music.
Unknown & Kaïs (TU/FR)
Cultivating a sense of mystery, the enigmatic Unknown is co-founder of Tikita, a Tunisian-Moroccan label based in Berlin and distributed in the Netherlands, publishing Japanese techno artists from another era, such as Kota Suzuki.
Francois X (FR)
A key figure on the Parisian techno scene, Francois X has built up a solid reputation in the milieu thanks to his active participation in the (re)construction of this musical movement as it exists today.
A founding member of the Dement3d label, he was one of the instigators of the renaissance of Parisian nightlife through underground parties organized in large spaces on the outskirts of the capital.
Levon Vincent (USA)
A pioneer of the New York underground techno scene, Levon Vincent is co-founder, with Anthony Parasole, of one of the most cutting-edge labels in the field, Deconstruct, and head of Novel Sound, a label dedicated solely to his own rare and highly sought-after releases, with a unique musical signature of deep, catchy dub techno.
