Born in Oran in 1987 in north-west Algeria, his passion for music comes from his family and his maternal grandmother, who introduced him to the Diwane and el hadra rituals. He is known for his deep, intense voice, which has made him one of the most popular and sought-after maâlems. A regular at the Diwane Festival and ranked best Diwane Maalem in Béchar in 2013, he took part in the Algiers Diwane Festival with one of his most striking fusion creations.
In duo with NGUYÊN LÊ at the 2015 edition, he delighted the Algiers audience with an exceptional concert accompanied by his group JIL ESAED.
