Laurent in the late, lamented duo Scratch Pet Land, Nicolas Baudoux made a name for himself with his first solo album No Si, Si No (2004, on Mouse On Mars’ Sonig label), and even more so with his second, Scratch the Hulu, an original blend of absurdist humor, hip-hop sampling and dʼune host of surprising sounds. In 2008, he released Atlas Anthem, blending complex beats and basslines, free jazz spirit and a very personal kind of dubstep.
