This project has been developed by MU since 2005 in the Barbès-La Goutte d’Or neighborhood where MU is based. It proceeds from the detour of the lʼusage dʼaudio guides such as can be found in Museums. Using a soundtrack made up of several sound and musical sequences prepared from Parisian sounds, the idea is to explore the space in order to fix on a map the most suitable path around the Acropolium. Sound Drop is an open-air radiophonic scenario that plays on the
between broadcast sound and listening spaces. Between fiction, music and
documentary, MU proposes a kind of expanded cinema in which the city (here Tunis) is the setting.
In September 2010, Collectif MU will return to Tunis to present its new Sound Delta device, a totally immersive project in which the audience, equipped with a terminal and headphones, is invited to wander freely through a panorama of geo-localized virtual sound sources. These will be based on recordings made in Tunis in collaboration with sound artist Aymeric de Tapol.
