A unique collaboration between artist Abdelali Abdessamed and his group of musicians, and Anas Ghrab, musicologist and explorer of digital tools. The aim is to question traditional instruments in the face of digital possibilities for altering their sound. During this workshop, the musician’s movement will be studied in order to extend, in real time, the sonorities of his instrument. As an interpreter of these new sounds, he or she will be able to integrate them as he or she sees fit, without destroying their essence.
Anas Ghrab. Following his studies at the Conservatoire National de Tunis, Anas Ghrab pursued his studies in musicology, culminating in a doctoral thesis at the Université Paris Sorbonne. Digital technologies and their relationship with heritage currently occupy a fundamental place in his musical and musicological research.
