Born in Casablanca, Hassan Boussou was educated in the Gnawa tradition by his father, the late Maâlem Hmida Boussou. He has collaborated with such jazz greats as Michel Alibo, Bojan Z and Julien Lourau. He created Séwaryé, a Gnawa fusion band that toured the world. Winner of the Unesco-Aschberg Scholarship, Hassan Boussou is asked to take part in numerous artistic projects with Loy Ehrlich and Louis Bertignac.
