Alongside Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke, the lively Austrian Dorian Concept is undoubtedly the most promising beatmaker of this new generation, who unabashedly mixes hip hop and electronic sounds (a genre known as Bump or Low Club). What makes him special? An uncanny ability to deliver both completely unstructured, messy electronica and devastating Nu Hip Hop. With, above all, an insane mastery of Korg synthesizers.

So, after a few high-profile releases (such as the unstoppable EP released on Affine Records a few months ago) and overpowering remixes (we remember with relish the one he did for Phat Kat), the young man is stepping up a gear with his first LP, entitled « When Planets Explode », on the always excellent Dutch label Kindred Spirit.
