This reading device, featuring different languages and reading modes, is a translation of the lyrics of a popular song into a music box score. This Braille translation is perforated on the score card. The musical notes generated
create a melody that’s different from the original. Three modes of reading are combined. First, the lyrics, elements of a collective memory,
instantly evoke the melody, which resonates mentally with the reader. Secondly, the reading of the score, in spite of the harmony
between the source and the sound generated by the music box. Finally, the quotation offers an aesthetic angle and establishes a dichotomy between the learned and the popular. The arrows indicate the reading direction.
