The festival opens with a ciné concert by duo ZONE LIBRE, revisiting Stanley Kubrick’s « 2001: A Space Odyssey ».
« After making their debut with Nosferatu and Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde, Zone libre takes on Kubrick’s masterpiece. A bold, uncompromising project, an odyssey off the beaten track, this one-hour-and-thirteen-minute rereading of 2001 is a vibrant, carnal instrumental work, flush with improvised music and wild experimentation.
Zone Libre shakes up conventions and pushes rock’s margins further and further into space. A montage of excerpts from Stanley Kubrick’s film (running time 1h13), USA, 1968, originally 141′, which traces the role played by an unknown intelligence in the evolution of mankind through different eras.

A concert to calm the nerves? Oxmo Puccino, acoustic trio! Gentle rap.
Oxmo Puccino has a genius for stripping rap of its most stubborn clichés. In this acoustic concert with cellist Vincent Segal and guitarist Edouard Ardan, the « Black Jacques Brel » shines a deliciously intimate light on his classic and new songs. He revisits his classics and presents some of the crystal mines taken from his sixth album, « Roi sans carrosse », produced by Vincent Segal and released in September 2012.
