Introduction to 3D printers and 3D printing. Hosted by ElFablab, an incubator for innovative ideas.

Presentation:
For No Logo, ElFablab is putting on an introductory workshop to 3D digital manufacturing, 3D printing Camp. This prototyping workshop will enable participants to understand the technical components of 3D printers, as well as the 3D printing process.
This introductory session will also be an opportunity to present the results of the hands-on workshops held in schools during February and March. In the form of a « Discover- Train- Challenge- Reward » capsule, the winners of each city’s challenge will be invited to present their projects to the public during the No Logo tour.

Content covered:
Introduction to 3D technology, and how it is changing the way we make and consume products on a global scale: a real social phenomenon is underway.
The 3D printing machine, how it works, what it can achieve
An on-site printing demonstration.
The Do It Yourself aspect, with a presentation of a printer made entirely by replicating another.
