The technical processes used in the KINETIK installation will be the common thread running through the workshop led by Taj Ninny.
The workshop will provide an introduction to sound synthesis and the creation of generative visuals.
We’ll be using Touchdesigner software, a reference tool for real-time audiovisual creation.
The basics of Computer-Aided Music (CAM) and the use of MIDI controllers and sequencers will also be covered.
We’ll look at the fundamentals of analog sound synthesis and various visual generation techniques.
We’ll learn how to position these visuals in space, working on the videomapping technique.
